1. Account

a. ACCOUNT INFORMATION

Create an account

Place your orders faster by creating an online account. Your account information remains confidential and we will ensure their protection. To create an account, click on the top right corner of the website on “My Account”, then select “Create an account”. You need to enter your email address and create a password. If you are already using this email address for other online accounts, be sure to choose a new password. We will use your email address to send you updates regarding your orders. This may include order confirmation or cancellation messages, or shipment tracking.

Password change

To help us protect your data, make sure to create a unique password for your Griffon account. You can change your password at any time. To do so, log in to your account and select "My Personal Info". You can then click on "change" in the box designated for your password. Once you have entered your current password then the new one, save. Your new password will then be active. When you create your password, our automatic password assessment tool will indicate how secure it is. The password must be at least 8 characters long, with at least one capital letter and one special character (no letters or numbers).

Forgotten password

If you forgot your password, click on "forgot password?" when you log in to your account, then enter your email address. If you are registered in our database, you should receive an email within the next 5 minutes to reset your password.

Manage my personal information

To change your personal information, log in to your account and select "Dashboard" and then "My Address Book". You will be able to update your information by completing and saving the designated fields.

Wish list

You can save your favorite items in one or many wish lists directly from the product sheet, or from your cart by clicking on “Add to my list” below the product. You can access your wish list directly from your account by clicking on “My wish list” in the menu or in your dashboard. You can also add your favorite products directly into your cart from your wish list.

Newsletter subscription

When you create your account, you can choose to receive, or not, our newsletters by checking, or not, the designated box. To modify your choice, log in to your account, then select “My personal info” where you will see the "newsletter" section. You will then be able to subscribe or unsubscribe from our mailing list.

Delete your account

If you wish to delete your account, please contact our customer service.
 

b. ORDER HISTORY

You can view your previous and current orders by logging into your account in the “Order Tracking” section accessible from your “Dashboard”. This section allows you to check the status of your order, access your order tracking number, and view your previous purchases.

2. Orders and payment

a. METHODS OF PAYMENT

Accepted methods of payment

Orders placed on the www.griffon.ca website or by phone must be paid by credit card and/or Griffon gift card. We accept VISA, MASTERCARD, and AMERICAN EXPRESS. Postal orders can be paid by check, money order, or by Griffon gift card.

Declined transaction

If your transaction is declined after several attempts, you may have entered a number incorrectly or your card's expiration date has passed. After reviewing, if your transaction is still not authorized, please contact your credit card company for assistance. You can also use another credit card.

Payment with a gift card

You can also choose to pay with a Griffon gift card that was purchased in-store or online
 

b. PROMOTIONAL CODE

To benefit from a promotional code, you must enter the code in the dedicated space “Add a gift card or a promo code” during the checkout process of your order.

c. PAYMENT WITH A GIFT CARD

You can pay for part or all of your order with a gift card in store or online. To do so, you must enter the card number in the dedicated space "Add a gift card or a promo code" during the checkout process.

To find out your gift card balance, enter your card number in the dedicated space on the gift card page.

If you cancel or return an order that you paid for with a gift card, we will refund the amount charged to the gift card on a new gift card.

Griffon gift cards are subject to terms and conditions and cannot be refunded if lost or stolen.
 

d. MODIFY/DELETE AN ORDER

You can access your order history to modify a current order. However, if the product has an "in-process" status, you will not be able to change it. If this is the case, you will have 10 days following the delivery date to return the items for a full refund. For more information, please refer to our return policy. Please note that if you wish to cancel an entire order, you will need to cancel all products ordered one by one.

3. PRODUCT

a. AVAILABILITY OF ITEMS

In order to know the availability of a product, please refer to the status visible on the detailed product sheet. You can then see if the item is available online and/or in one of our stores. Below are the different statuses you might encounter on our website:

  • In stock - Leaving the warehouse within 48 hours: the product is available, and can be ready for shipment within 48 hours.
  • In stock - Leaving the warehouse within 3-5 days: the product is available and can be ready for shipment in 3-5 days.
  • Warehouse departure within 4-10 days: the product can be ready for shipment in 4-10 days.
  • Departure from warehouse within 2 to 12 weeks: product may be ready for shipment in 2 to 12 weeks.
  • Coming soon: the product will be available for purchase soon
  • Pre-sale: it is possible to buy the product during pre-sale, i.e. before its official release date. This gives you the guarantee to receive the product as soon as it is available in our online stock. However, your order can only be delivered when the product is available and authorized for sale.
  • In restocking: a new order of the product has been placed with our supplier. It should be available shortly.
  • Not available: the item is unfortunately unavailable and we cannot tell you if it will be available for purchase again soon.

If you have not yet placed your order, you can always remove items from your cart by clicking on "remove" at the bottom right of the product.

 

b. PRICING

The prices displayed on the www.griffon.ca website are in Canadian dollars, before taxes and shipping costs. Books are sold in accordance with the provisions of the Act respecting the development of Quebec firms in the book industry.

The price is payable in full and in one installment at the time of order. All orders are payable in Canadian dollars.

Refunds of items due to unavailability are also made in Canadian dollars. Please note that the exchange rates applied are those in effect on the day the order is placed or when the refund is issued. Griffon will refund the same amount in Canadian dollars as the one invoiced for the sold out or returned item, but cannot be held responsible for any difference in currency due to the exchange rate applied by the customer's bank.
 

c. TAXES AND EXEMPTIONS

Calculation of taxes

We are required by law to charge sales tax on purchases made on www.griffon.ca. The taxes depend on the destination of your order and the nature of the products purchased. All taxes are calculated at checkout.

GST and PST Exemptions

Unfortunately, we cannot verify your GST exemption status when you order online. However, after making a purchase, you can submit a GST rebate claim to the Canada Revenue Agency.

4. DELIVERY

a. DELIVERY STATUS

Please note that all our deliveries are handled by Canada Post. To track the status of your order, you can go to your account in the "Order Tracking" section. You can also find the tracking number of your order, sent to you by email. The usual delivery times are 1 to 3 business days after shipping for standard deliveries, and 1 to 2 business days after shipping for express deliveries. Please note that the time required to process orders for shipping, visible on the product sheet, must be added to the delivery time provided by Canada Post.

If you still have not received your order 10 business days after receiving the shipping notice, we invite you to contact our customer service.
 

b. DELIVERY ISSUES

Missing item

When you place your order, you can choose the unique shipment option, which means that we will send you your order once all your products are available. However, if you have opted for two shipments, it is possible that you have only received the products in stock for the time being, and you will receive the rest of your order in a second package. To check the status of your order, please visit your order history. If all packages are shipped and an item is missing, please contact our customer service.

Defective or wrong item

All items supplied by Griffon are brand new and guaranteed to be free of defects. If an item is defective or does not correspond to what was ordered, please visit our return policy.

Refusal of delivery, non-return of a package or wrong address

If you refuse your package upon delivery or the package is not claimed at the postal counter, your order will be returned to our warehouse and you may be charged for a new delivery. 
 

c. SHIPPING COSTS

Free shipping to your home from $59 before taxes and more

  • Free shipping is offered for all orders placed on the www.griffon.ca website that meet the following conditions:
  • The minimum purchase must be $59, before taxes, per order and per delivery address.
  • The delivery address must be located in Canada.
  • You have selected the standard delivery option and a one-time delivery.
  • Canceling one or more items ordered that reduces the total pre-tax order to less than $59, changing the address, or changing the shipping method may disqualify you from free shipping.
  • A "free shipping" promotional code applies only to deliveries in Canada on standard service and can only be used once per customer during its validity period.
In-store delivery

Only phone orders in store can be delivered free of charge in the store regardless of the amount of the order.

Paid delivery

Delivery charges apply when your order is less than $59 before taxes. They are calculated according to the delivery address, the number of items ordered, and the total amount of the order, before taxes and shipping costs. Shipping fees cover preparation and packaging costs, plus postage. Different delivery charges apply depending on your address, please refer to the table below for more details.

5. Returns and guarantee

We reserve the right to limit or refuse the return of items at any time and for any reason.

Returns must be submitted within 10 days of the date of purchase or delivery, accompanied by the invoice. The refund will be processed using the original method of payment.

a. FREE RETURN IN STORE

If you wish to return one or more products, you may do so in one of our Griffon stores with the delivery slip, where we will proceed to a free refund on your original payment method. Video and audio products, as well as games, must be in their original packaging, with the exception of returns due to defects. Please note that we do not return instruments.

b. RETURN WITH CANADA POST

If you are unable to visit one of our stores, you must contact our Customer Service Department by email at web@boutiquegriffon.com or at 1 (844) 939-2955. A return slip will then be sent to you by email so that you can proceed with the return of the products by mail. If the product is not defective, the return will be subject to a 10% administration fee and you will be responsible for the shipping costs. If you have benefited from the free shipping offer, the administration fee will be 20% of the retail price of the returned order.

c. DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS

All items supplied by Griffon are brand new and guaranteed to be free of defects. If an item is defective or does not correspond to what was ordered, Griffon will exchange or refund the item, including shipping costs, within 10 days of the delivery date, provided that it is accompanied by the delivery note or a copy of the invoice. You can come to one of our stores, where Griffon will proceed with the exchange or refund. If you are unable to come to one of our stores, please contact Customer Service by email at web@boutiquegriffon.com or at 1 (844) 939-2955 to make the appropriate arrangements.

6. ABOUT GRIFFON

a. GIFT CARDS

You can purchase physical gift cards worth $20, $30, $50 or $100, which we can deliver to your home or to the recipient of your choice within a few days. You can also purchase your gift cards directly in-store. You can use your gift card at any Griffon store or online. To use it online, you will need the number on the back of the card and enter it in the dedicated field during checkout.
